Capsule Geology

The occurrence is underlain by Upper Triassic Vancouver Group Karmutsen Formation basalts and overlying limestones of the Quatsino Formation. The Vancouver Group rocks are intruded by granodiorite of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite.

Unspecified copper mineralization occurs along the contact between the volcanics and the limestone.
